One of Asia's largest mobile phone manufacturer, LG, continue to churn out innovations in every product. This time they would put the fingerprint sensor in a hidden place.
LG plans to put the fingerprint sensor just below the touch screen smartphone in all his creations. 0.01 inch sized sensor will be the first tool fingerprint reader that does not use physical buttons.
LG said that the placement of the fingerprint sensor on the bottom of the screen will not make the function of the sensor decreases. Improved technology allows the phone will be thinner and waterproof.
South Korean companies have not yet announced whether it will use this new technology in each phone that will come, but LG spokesman told the Korea Times that the company is currently in talks with several smartphone manufacturers to commercialize new sensor within this year.
